What's ON IN MARCH?
It is with great sadness that we announce the Tarana markets for March 2020 will be cancelled.
The advice from health services, and indeed the government rulings of last week, demands that non essential gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled until the COVID-19 outbreak is better understood and contained. We refer to https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert which clearly shows the instruction to cancel non-essential events attended by more that 500 people.
We've discussed this with our Tarana Brigade and the RFS, who support the decision.
Our first obligation is to our Tarana community, and to our community of stall holders. Where there is any possibility of the health and well being of our communities being compromised, we will do all in our power to help and protect everyone. So, very sadly, No Markets at Tarana for March.
As we all know, this is an ongoing situation, and no one knows how the next weeks and months will progress. Future decisions will be made according to the advice of the health professionals, and we will keep you posted as promptly as we can.
It's disappointing, when we've all worked so hard to build a thriving, happy and resilient market community, and I'm sure we'll come back strongly when we're next together. As always, we welcome your feedback, and we'll keep in touch in the coming weeks. Keep well!
